Anime-Manga

Maybe as a joke, maybe as a need, I ended up buying this book called Tower Dungeon, from Tsutomu Nihei. I know he's the author of Blame!, which I haven't read but I know it's a popular one among the peers.

I remember reading a lot of Sci-fi stuff back in university and though it doesn't interest me much nowadays, when I heard that this was a previously Sci-fi author that began a manga centered on a medieval-magic setting, couldn't help but be interested.

From the cover I you can't really tell much, but it feels like it's a serious one, something that I appreciate. Nowadays there's so many of them that have a bunch of random anime girls on them that sometimes it feels difficult to distinguish between something that the author wanted to place there and something that was placed there only because they knew it would be popular.

Something interesting, the text is used sparingly and the story moves fast, things do happen, unlike some other manga when you spend your first chapter talking about what the character did and why it is important. I hate when that happens.

Sometimes the story takes time to just show what is happening, very good!!! The main character though, seems a little over powered without any good reason, we'll probably know more in the future about the why, but for now it isn't really talked about.

Wife.
