Do people normally skip things like this? What is the whole deal with "Reading fast"? Like we need to "Get rid" of the book you're reading, I thought we were supposed to enjoy the process of reading. But perhaps many use these as a kind of medal. "I have read a thousand manga." Perhaps seems impressive in otaku circles but if you can't remember anything from them why did you read them in the first place? I do try to not behave like this with my books.
